Help Feeding South Florida change lives one meal at a time - volunteer!
Feeding South Florida rescues 62 million pounds of food per year to help serve the 706,430 individuals in South Florida struggling to put food on the table. We work with a network of 300 nonprofit partner agencies, such as soup kitchens and food pantries, in order to ensure that food assistance is provided to throughout our quad-county service area.
In order for us to ensure a constant and consistent flow of food for our neighbors in need of food assistance, we rely on the support of thousands of volunteers every year to inspect and sort donated food to ensure it's safe for distribution.
We have 10 recurring volunteer shifts every Tuesday - Saturday, where volunteers help inspect, sort, build, and repack food, so that it is ready for distribution through our direct service programs and partner agencies.
Whether you’re an individual, small group, or large company, there are opportunities for everyone to lend a hand. We can accommodate large groups and specialize in team-building and special event sort days!
