Help Feeding South Florida change lives one meal at a time - volunteer!

Feeding South Florida rescues 46 million pounds of food per year to help serve the 710,370 individuals in South Florida struggling to put food on the table. We work with a network of 400 nonprofit partner agencies, such as soup kitchens and food pantries, in order to ensure that food assistance is provided to throughout our quad-county service area.

In order for us to ensure a constant and consistent flow of food for our neighbors in need of food assistance, we rely on the support of thousands of volunteers every year to inspect and sort donated food to ensure it's safe for distribution.

We have 10 recurring volunteer shifts every Tuesday - Saturday, where volunteers help inspect, sort, build, and repack food, so that it is ready for distribution through our direct service programs and partner agencies.

Whether you’re an individual, small group, or large company, there are opportunities for everyone to lend a hand. We can accommodate large groups and specialize in team-building and special event sort days!

Step One: Register

Before signing up, you must be registered on this site.  This must be done to receive contact information for opportunities.

Step Two: Create a Team

After you've completed the registration process, you will be taken to the My Account section of our site.

Follow the instructions on the Step-By-Step Guide.

Please note that if you are adding children to your team that are under the age of 13 you must only use a parent or guardian's phone number for their contact information. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act we are unable to store email addresses for children under the age of 13.

Step Three: Find Volunteer Opportunities

Using our search feature or browsing our calendar, find a shift (and location) that has the appropriate number of spaces available of Date & Time Specific opportunities for your team.

Step Four: Sign Up

Choose "Or Sign Up With A Team" to the right of the Sign Up button. On the next page you will choose which team you want to sign up. You will automatically be signed up for that shift and will receive a confirmation e-mail containing all of the information you will need. Be sure to only sign up members of your team who have confirmed they will attend the project.

As the team captain you will be able to modify your team by logging in and visiting the My Account section of our site. Under "Upcoming Opportunities" you will see the projects your team is signed up for.
